Brands/Summer School Electronics/Stone Thrower
FUZZ
In 1925 in Syracuse, NY's predominantly Irish neighborhood, Tipperary Hill, a group of young men of Irish descent began throwing stones at the local traffic light to knock out the Red glass that represented Britain's rule over Ireland. As the broken red glass was replaced by the city, the Stone-throwers as they had become known, continued to break the new red glass. This continued until the City of Syracuse put in a one-of-a-kind traffic signal that features the green on top. This fixture has existed there for almost 100 years and continues to be a symbol of the city, as well as a point of neighborhood pride.
