Blatant Bernie is a Blender pedal, it mixes an input signal with an effect chain. With Bernie you can, for example, use your guitar distortion on a bass guitar: most Distortions cut off the lows quite a bit, so when you use them with your bass guitar, you have an unwanted loss of low frequencies.
