The Aleister is based on the rare Rotosound MkIII fuzz made by Colorsound in the late 60s. The Rotosound is a close relative to the Colorsound MkIII/IV Tone Benders. The Aleister was as close as I could get to this rare beast known as the Rotosound MkIII. I based this on the circuit I thought was probably the earliest version, likely the one Jimmy Page used for a time in 1969.
