Its lowest setting is near unity gain so you can leave it on for additional top end clarity without an increase in volume. Turn up the BOOST for some extra grit or drive your tubes into natural overdrive. Place The BRILLO in front of an Overdrive pedal for extra sweet saturation or place after an Overdrive to unlock new layers of rich harmonics.
