TOUCAN TONE OVERDRIVE

Built around the JRC4558 op amp, the Toucan is an overdrive pedal with very similar characteristics to a rather well known overdrive on the commercial market. However, it has some vast improvements over it's forefather. A germanium diode has been added to provide asymetrical clipping, creating a tube-like quality which helps retain a more transparent sound for your guitar. It also has slightly more crunch at higher gain settings with pronounced low-mids to give a fuller, punchier tone. Even at lower drive settings, the Toucan is an excellent choice for a front end boost to your effects chain or amplifier.
