If you've never tried an original Maestro FZ-1A, you're in for a treat. It's sound will bring to mind countless classic guitar riffs from the mid 60's. If you have an original, you can leave it alone. My version sounds nearly identical to an original, is true bypass and a unique effect pedal you can take with you to the studio, practice or to a gig. I have built in some improvements to the original circuit, including audiophile quality components, true bypass, greater circuit stability and of course, carefully matched correct transistors. I have a limited supply of RCA 2N2613s for my Fuzz King™ '65 and once they're gone, they're gone.
