The Coron DC-829 Deluxe Exciter is a Japanese-made tone enhancement pedal from the late 1970s to early 1980s, designed to add brilliance, clarity, and harmonic definition to a variety of signal sources. As one of the earliest compact exciter-style pedals, it combines both instrument and microphone input capability with independent level controls, offering flexibility suited for live performance and studio use. The DC-829 served as the foundation for several later models produced under different brand names, including the Bias Sound Exciter, Holmes H-X12, and KMD 8013 Deluxe Exciter.
